what to know about miniatures
-
Know your scales
There are several common scales for dollhouse miniatures: 1:12, 1:24, 1:48 – even all the way down to 1:144! The numbers refer to the ratio of real life to miniature; 1" in miniature being roughly equal to the corresponding inches in real life. One inch scale, or 1:12, is the most commonly found along with 1:24, or half-inch scale.
